The second Formula 1 race at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida is expected to boost hotel occupancy for near-by properties. The three day event, starting today (26 Oct) till 28 October, will see the hotel industry cashing on business during and after the race days.
Radisson Blu Greater Noida has come up with special menus and packages for the event, while at the same time it will conduct a series of launches and media events over the next few days. The hotel offers an inventory of 175 rooms and suites. The hotel’s General Manager, Suraj Jha said “The valuable experience gained last year will come in handy this year. Many guests, drivers and technicians will opt to stay longer and take a visit to Agra after the race. The awareness level of the destination and facilities as such has grown and this will aid the occupancy levels both for domestic and international tourists in weeks to come, which coincides with the peak winter season.”
The recent opening of the Yamuna Expressway which reduces travel time between Greater Noida and Agra to two and a half hours is also likely to benefit the hotel industry. For S M Azmat, Senior Joint President at Jaypee Hotels and Resorts, the F1 is another opportunity for the repeat guests of last year, to enjoy the facilities of the hotel complex. Azmat adds that the hotel staff is aware of the preferences and likes of the repeat guests. The hotel also offers the newly opened Six Senses Spa which is expected to enhance the travellers experience.
