Fern adds first eco-friendly hotel in West Bengal

India’s eco-friendly hotel brand, Fern Hotels & Resorts, has launched its first property in West Bengal.
The new Fern Residency Asansol is located in the state’s second largest city, as part of the Galaxy Mal complex.
A midscale business hotel, the Fern offers 42 rooms and suites, two restaurants a large banqueting facility.
Guests are offered a choice of three room types – Winter Green Rooms, Fern Club Rooms and Hazel Suites. Both local and international cuisine is available at the Vista restaurant, while guests are also offered in-room dining. And the 650m² banquet hall is the largest such facility in the city of Asansol.
And as with all Fern hotels, the new property will feature a series of environmental initiatives, including energy-saving lighting, recycling, composting, eco-friendly toiletries, rainwater harvesting, solar power and energy-efficient air-conditioning.
Operated by Concept Hospitality, the Fern Residency Asansol becomes the brand’s 19th hotel in India.
