Fiji targets one million tourists by 2016

Tourism Fiji has said it hopes to see the island’s tourism industry bounce back in 2010, as global economies recover and the island benefits from greater flight connections, adding to the new Hong Kong connection offered by Air Pacific. V Australia and Jetstar services will also boost tourism from Australia. The Fiji Times reported Tourism Fiji CEO, Joe Tuamoto as saying that the country was aiming to attract 600,000 visitors next year, rising to one million tourists by 2016.
