Finnair and airberlin have expanded their codeshare agreement to expand markets in Scandinavia and the Middle East.
In the partnership, Finnair’s code will be added to airberlin’s flights from Berlin to Oslo, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Copenhagen and Dusseldorf to Copenhagen, as wel as airberlin’s flights from Dusseldorf and Berlin to Abu Dhabi. In return, airberlin’s code will be placed on Finnair from Helsinki to Tallinn, Turku, Tampere and Oulu.
The new codeshares are in effect on 28 October and bookable now.
“Right from the beginning, the codeshare cooperation with our oneworld partner Finnair is developing very well for both of us, especially the routes between Germany and Helsinki,” says Paul Gregorowitsch, chief commercial officer of airberlin.
The two have been codesharing on flights since 2010, with the extension following airberlin’s entry into the oneworld alliance in March this year.
