Finnair has announced it is to cut its workforce by 155 people to help reduce its annual costs.
The airline announced the job cuts as part of plans to improve its profitability, which will also include a reduction in operational costs through procurement, marketing and IT spending.
“Our goal is to make Finnair again profitable, since it’s only the results that justify our existence. We’ve identified together with employees many good cost saving ideas, which don’t have any impact on personnel. The planned personnel reductions are, however, necessary to increase efficiency,” said Mika Vehvil
