flydubai to launch India flights

flydubai, Dubai’s first low cost carrier, is all set for take off to the Indian sub-continent with the announcement of a trio of routes to the region. The LCC will begin its Indian adventure with flights to Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh, on 13 July. This will be closely followed by flights to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on 14 July. The trio of destinations will be completed on 23 July when flights are launched to Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana states.
Ghaith Al Ghaith (pictured), CEO of flydubai, said; “We are delighted to be able to announce our first three Indian destinations… India is a very important market and we are looking forward to a long and successful future serving the needs of customers wishing to travel between the two countries.”
The Lucknow route will operate four times per week, Coimbatore three times a week and Chandigarh daily. All routes will be served from flydubai’s home base at Dubai Terminal 2, using its fleet of brand new Airbus A320 aircraft.
