Forest fire kills six in eastern China

Six people have been killed and another two injured in a forest fire in east China’s Zhejiang province. Xinhua reported that approximately 300 people were called in to tackle the blaze, which broke out in Chun’an county on Saturday morning. All of those who died are reported to have been local villagers who were attempting to fight the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but fireworks have initially been blamed.
