Riverland Dubai, the multi-themed dining, retail and entertainment destination located at the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest integrated theme park destination in the region, has announced the launch of four unique event venues that will be available for celebrations, parties and meetings when it opens on 31 October.
By launching these new event venues, Riverland Dubai is hoping to redefine what is on offer in the city with everything from small boutique outdoor locations to a large indoor space, along with professional event consultation services.
Riverland Dubai’s event venues will include:
- Riviera Plaza, an outdoor space of 2,400 square metres, set in lush green landscaping overlooking the river. Ideal for weddings, concerts, cocktail receptions, birthday parties, and corporate launch parties
- The Boardwalk Plaza, another outdoor space set across 1,150 square metres, and centrally located in the 1950’s America themed area with bright colours and neon lights. This venue is perfect for corporate and social events.
- The Encore is an 1,800-square-metre indoor multi-purpose venue, which can accommodate hundreds to thousands of people. The Encore is an artist’s canvas, as it is literally a black box ready to be transformed according to the theme of the event, whether it’s a wedding, fashion show, concert, or a corporate function.
- The Island Plaza, an outdoor location of 1,350 square metres, overlooks Dubai Parks and Resorts, offers a magnificent setting and spectacular views to wow guests at any social or corporate event.
Marcel Hendriks general manager – Riverland Dubai, Dubai Parks and Resorts said: “These exceptional spaces will be operational once Dubai Parks and Resorts opens this year. Dubai is a vibrant city buzzing with regional and international events all year round, and securing appropriate locations for various types of social and corporate functions can be a challenge. That is why we are providing event planners, organizers and end users with a wide range of impressive options that they can customize as they wish.”
Visitors to Riverland Dubai will be taken on a visual experience through the ages, from a medieval French village themed area, featuring outdoor Mediterranean style dining and iconic landscapes, to the heady days of 1950’s America in Boardwalk, home to a range of casual dining options. India Gate, flanked by an impressive hands sculpture, will showcase the very best of 1930s India with its vibrant tastes, architecture and colours while Peninsula, which takes its architectural inspiration from the 19th century, will allow visitors to sit by the meandering river and enjoy casual dining options as well as live concerts and festivals.
Scheduled to open this year, Riverland Dubai is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts which will also feature MOTIONGATE™ Dubai – a unique theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate as well Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, a first-of-its-kind theme park that will showcase rides and attraction based on some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters, in addition to the region’s first LEGOLAND® Park and a LEGOLAND® Water Park. Guests can stay at the Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian themed family hotel part of the Marriott Autograph® Collection. Expected to open in late 2019, Six Flags Dubai will be destination’s fourth theme park and the region’s first Six Flags theme park.
