A new hotel in London’s Shoreditch is to be built by New York-based Gansevoort Hotel Group.
The hotel will be at 45 Curtain Road and cost up to GBP60 million to develop.
It is due to open in 2015 with 120 rooms, seven suites, a restaurant, bar, rooftop swimming pool and lounge; fitness centre; events space and a ‘tech incubator’ to fit in with the hotel’s technology company surroundings.
“I’m always seeking to expand my portfolio in emerging neighborhoods that have a vibrant social life where businesses can grow and flourish,” said the group’s visionary Michael Achenbaum. “Shoreditch aligns brilliantly with our vision for this project and we’re thrilled to break ground during such an exciting time for the neighbourhood.”
