Indonesian national carrier, Garuda Indonesia, will reopen its Denpasar-Brisbane route next month, the Jakarta Post reported. The route was discontinued after the second Bali bombing in 2005, but Garuda’s President & Director, Emirsyah Satar said that conditions had now recovered sufficiently to relaunch flights.
“The route is potential to bring tourists to Indonesia, particularly to Bali,” Satar was quoted as saying.
