The month of January witnessed the inaugural meeting of the Business Aviation Regulation Working Group at the GCAA headquarters.
This took place less than two months after the initiative was announced.
This working group furthers MEBAA’s efforts to alleviate UAE operators’ burden in compliance efforts with GCAA regulations, and encourage operators to discuss challenges.
HE Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, director of the General Civil Aviation Authority, had envisaged the formation of a working group to serve as catalyst for Middle East & North Africa Business Aviation Association’s (MEBAA) initiative. This was also formed with the objective to draft business aviation regulations (MEBAA Regulation) during the 2014 MEBAA Show.
Operator companies in attendance were Abu Dhabi Aviation, Aerogulf Services Co (L.L.C), Al Jaber Aviation, Empire Aviation Group, Execujet Middle East, Falcon Aviation Services, Gama Aviation, Gulf Wings, Heli Dubai, Jet Ops, Midex Airlines, Private Affairs Bureau (PAB), Royal Jet, and Unique Air.
The next meeting is scheduled for February 2015.
