Global Village concludes with aplomb

Global Village recently concluded its 16th and longest season. Almost five million visitors were welcomed through the 151-day event.
This included a new record of 165,000 visitors in a single day. The volume of trade generated in the park exceeded AED1.5 billion.
The event has created a niche as a prominent tourism, shopping and entertainment hub in Dubai. Global Village’s success is quantitative and as well as qualitative. In a survey of 10,000 visitors, the overall satisfaction rate was high at 90%. There was a positive upward trend for shows and events with an 85% satisfaction rating. Visitors profiles were gauged as predominantly families, but various schools, universities, sports teams and NGOs also organized visits to the park.
The Fun Fair area increased by 30%, offering more than 40 rides and games for all ages. 150 kiosks were on hand, with 40 kiosks from the HH Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders (SME) which introduced fresh and innovative business ideas.
