Paris-based Louvre Hotels & Golden Tulip has launched a new property in Bangkok. The 24-storey former Radisson Hotel near Rama 9 road, has now been rebranded as the Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel.
Golden Tulip CEO, Olivier Derycke, said; “[We are] delighted with the addition of the Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel to our portfolio, especially as it is our first hotel in the capital city of Bangkok, where our new regional office for Southeast Asia is located. It is thus of great importance to us strategically and we are very pleased to be associated with such a well-operated property and with the high standards of products and services it provides. The new hotel also compliments our Golden Tulip Mangosteen in Phuket and our soon-to-be opened Golden Tulip Mandison Suites on Sukhumvit Road. We look forward to a continuous and successful roll-out of our brands in Thailand and throughout the region.”
The four-star Golden Tulip Sovereign includes 448 guest rooms and suites, including oversized bathtubs, internet-connected writing desk, and a ‘Communication Centre System’ with touch-screen messaging service that provides instant access to hotel services.
“While strategically situated adjacent to the expressway just 20 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport with entertainment, shopping and business centres only a short walk away, the hotel gives guests good reason to stay right where they are,” said Vathana Paradorachai , Golden Tulip Sovereign’s Vice President.
Business facilities include a Business Centre, 12 meeting and function rooms, and a 690m2 ballroom, while F&B offerings include a Lobby Lounge, the Blackie Sports Pub, 92 Bakery, Fook Yuan Chinese restaurant, the Nishiki Japanese restaurant, and the Tubtim Siam Thai restaurant.
