Golf courses plans thwarted in Vietnam

Authorities in the southern Vietnamese province of Tien Giang have rejected a golf course project on Thoi Son Island, choosing instead to develop the Mekong Delta island for ecotourism purposes, VietnamNet Bridge has reported.
Meanwhile another southern province, Ben Tre, has rejected a 100 hectare golf course project as it was not backed by the local population.
