In keeping with the trend of growing popularity of social media, Grand Millennium Dubai has rolled a comprehensive plan for integrating social media in its marketing and business strategy.
Peter Mansourian, general manager, Grand Millennium Dubai said: “Social networks are a very important engine for e-commerce. We have to recognize the value of Facebook and its kind and wish to take advantage of these channels, especially since it is now possible to do direct bookings through social networking sites.”
Commenting on the hotel’s evolving strategy to harness the power of social media as a consumer response and marketing tool, Peter said, “That’s the power of social media – everyone is a reviewer in real time.”
According to Peter, the hotel is going live in a big way on several social media sites, sharing its stories and creating new ones. In addition, its blogspot would source articles from and about the hotel while a page in Wikipaedia would chronicle its history on the net.
