Gulf Air has launched flights to Copenhagen and Nairobi from its base in Bahrain. The Danish city service will commence on 1 July with four flights a week and the same amount will be available on the Nairobi route from 5 July. It will also recommence flights to Geneva, Milan, Addis Ababa and Kabul from 15 June. Samer Mahali, CEO of Gulf Air explained the move. “Scandinavians are keen travellers to the Asian and the Indian sub-continent regions and Copenhagen is an aviation hub for the Scandinavian and Baltic regions. The city also enjoys good surface connections with southern Sweden,” he said. “In addition, Copenhagen is home to many international corporations and organisations, and we see a strong potential for business traffic to and from the region.” The airline also hopes to target business travellers with the Nairobi route.
