Gulf Air was the first airline in the region to be certified with Information Technology ISO certifications in the three areas of Quality Management, Service Management and Information Security Management Systems.
The airline was awarded the ISO 9001 Certification (Quality Management), ISO 20000 Certification (Service Management) and, for the second year in a row, the ISO 27001 Certification (Information Security Management System).
Gulf Air acting chief executive officer, Maher Salman AlMusallam said: “Quality, service and security are three of the most important facets of customers’ online experience. As such, Gulf Air continually strives to enhance three areas across the organisation — including our critical Information Technology component.”
To date, Gulf Air is one of few regional airlines to hold the global ISO certification for its information security management system. Some of the recent IT achievements include being the first organisation in Bahrain to introduce private cloud computing in its IT operations.
