With the lease of the two Embraer E170 regional jets and the arrival of seven brand new A320 aircraft we have the operational flexibility and efficiency to achieve this.” Gulf Air Chief Executive Samer Majali said the launch of the summer schedule meant theAirline was “another step closer to fulfilling our strategic blueprint to create an airline that reflects the needs and aspirations of its customers with a targeted, more focused regional and international network, a superior and more consistent product and a modern, more efficient fleet”. He added: “This summer not only will our customers benefit from new services and additional frequencies they will also enjoy enhanced products and services and greater value for money with the launch of our new premium travel experience ‘Falcon Gold’ as well as increased comfort and aircraft reliability with the deployment of our new regional jets and narrow body aircraft across our short and mid haul routes.” Gulf Air’s new Embraer aircraft, will be deployed on the airline’s high frequency routes including Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Baghdad.
