Gulf Air recently inked an agreement with VIVA Bahrain extending its partnership with the telecommunications provider. This agreement will include acquiring 355 iPad devices as part of Gulf Air’s proposed roll-out of iPad electronic flight bags.
The meeting also focused on future plans for critical ICT (information and communication technology) services and solutions.
Gulf Air acting chief executive officer, Maher Salman AlMusallam said: “This is an essential component of our ongoing commitment to all new technology that provides integrated solutions for managing information in the air and on the ground.”
The adoption of such technology also reinforces the airline’s focus and responsibilities toward environmental sustainability and actively adopting green technologies.
