Gulf trio fly high at India Aviation 2016

India Aviation 2016 got underway this week, with the three major Gulf carriers having a major presence at the event.
More than 200 major participants from over 25 countries are attending the Hyderabad show, with a total of 29 aircraft on display. And Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways are all participating in the event, showcasing their latest aircraft.
Emirates is displaying its flagship Airbus A380 in Hyderabad while Qatar Airways has brought its A350 to the event and Etihad is showcasing its Boeing 787 Dreamliner and B777 freighter.
The presence of these three aviation giants demonstrates the importance of the fast-growing Indian aviation sector.
Qatar Airways’ group CEO, Akbar Al Baker commented; “We are delighted to showcase our A350 for the first time here. We remain committed to India and look forward to developing our footprint to give the Indian travelling public a wide choice of services.”
James Hogan, Etihad’s president & CEO, added; “This week’s India Aviation show in Hyderabad enables Etihad Airways to show our unwavering support for trade and tourism in one of the world’s most dynamic economies. Our new Boeing 787 passenger aircraft and Boeing 777 freighter will provide visitors with an opportunity to see firsthand the latest additions to our fleet.”
India Aviation 2016, which marks fifth edition of the event, is being hosted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry. The show was opened by India’s President Pranab Mukherjee.
