Malaysian conglomerate, Hong Leong Group (HLG) is planning to develop at least 10 Guoman-branded hotels over the next five years. According to a Bernama report, all the hotels will form part of the company’s Guoson multi-use developments. These have already been planned for Tianjin, Nanjing and Chengdu. China’s first Guoman Hotel recently opened in Shanghai – a 26-storey, 442-room property in the city’s Putuo district.
