Hainan Airlines launched two weekly flights to Ekaterinburg from Beijing on 10 October last week.
Ekaterinburg, the capital of Russia’s Sverdlovsk region, is the carrier’s fourth destination in Russia following Moscow, St Petersburg and Irkutsk.
Hainan Airlines’ new nonstop service to Ekaterinburg is operated on every Tuesday and Friday, using its twin-aisle Airbus A330 aircraft. Flights depart Beijing’s Capital International Airport at 0630, arriving at Koltsovo International Airport at 1110. The return service takes off from Ekaterinburg at 1610, and gets back to Beijing at 0025.
Hainan Airlines flies to more Russian cities than any other Chinese airline. The carrier provides scheduled services to Moscow, St Petersburg and Irkutsk from Beijing, also to Irkutsk from the city of Manchuria in Inner Mongolia.
