HalalBooking.com has won the ‘Islamic Economy Award in Hospitality and Tourism 2016’.
The online travel agency, which is focused on the needs of Muslim travellers, was presented with the accolade at the 2016 Islamic Economy Awards, which took place at Madinat Jumeirah Dubai on 11 October, as part of the 3rd Global Islamic Economy Summit.
His Highness Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai handed over the award to HalalBooking.com
The awards programme is managed independently by Thomson Reuters, audited by Deloitte, and adjudicated by a judging panel who assess each nominee based on formal, established criteria.
HalalBooking.com was recognised by judges for its “precise total family pricing” feature, an original system that allows halal-conscious travellers to calculate the precise cost for the whole family taking into account all taxes and fees, the number of adults and exact ages of children.
“We would like to convey our sincere gratitude to the panel who recognised our hard work and awarded us with this prestigious prize,” said HalalBooking.com in a statement.
“We will continue to advance the website to realise its vision ‘to provide the best search and book experience for halal-conscious travellers’.”
