Japan and China have agreed to launch regular flights between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport from 25 October. Kyodo News reported Japan’s Transport Minister, Kazuyoshi Kaneko, as saying that four daily round-trip flights would be operated – two each by Japanese and Chinese airlines, without specifying which. The new route will mark the second regular service linking Haneda and mainland China, following the launch of flights to Shanghai’s Hongqiao airport in 2007.
