The Hansar Samui boutique resort is launching a new CSR initiative designed to support the local community.
The property will hold charity bazaars once a quarter, selling produce from each harvest of the hotel’s organic garden and fish farm, as well as supporting other local producers and groups.
The first event will take place on 30 November 2013 at the organic garden, adjacent to the hotel. It will feature 15 booths for guests, locals and visitors to wander through and buy produce.
Local partners will also be showcasing a range of Thai delicacies and favourites to taste and buy, including som tum (papaya salad), phad thai noodles, pastries, desserts and seafood. There will also be entertainment, including a fortune teller, live music and a dance performance by local students.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to nearby schools.
