Hawaiian adds Australian flights
Hawaiian Airlines has announced plans to add 27 extra flights to Australia later this year, to meet an expected rise in demand during the school holidays.
Between 11 September and 19 October 2013, Hawaiian will add three more weekly flights to its Honolulu-Sydney route, taking the total frequency to 10 flights per week. The airline will also add two extra weekly flights to its Honolulu-Brisbane service, offering five flights per week between 31 September and 14 October 2013. The revised schedule will add approximately 7,700 new seats on the two Australian routes.
“Demand for our services in Australia and New Zealand is particularly strong, especially during this period when schools are out and families are on holiday. These extra flights also offer travellers in Hawaii and North America more options for visiting Australia at a beautiful time of year,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
Hawaiian serves Sydney with a 294-seat Airbus A330 and Brisbane with its 264-room Boeing 767.
