Heathrow Express has said it will run an amended schedule this Friday and Saturday despite RMT taking out industrial action on the train operator. The company said it will operate a half-hourly service between 8am and 8pm this Friday and Saturday from Paddington station to Heathrow T5 (via T1 and T3). Other journey times have been cancelled for those two days. Richard Robinson, managing director of Heathrow Express said it wanted to provide a regular service during the strikes, which have been announced in a row over pay. “During the pay talks process we have consistently asked the RMT to consider the unnecessary inconvenience to passengers caused by such industrial action. We have put forward a good offer which reflects the challenging economic environment and our need to be more efficient,” he explained. “We all want to get back to business as normal as soon as we can.”
