Hertz has expanded its fleet of sports utility vehicles in Australia.
The car hire company now offers both an SUV Class and a Large SUV Class, which it said reflects the addition of smaller, more fuel-efficient models.
The Toyota Rav 4 and Nissan X Trail models now are available in the SUV category, while the Large SUV class features the Toyota Kluger and Ford Territory vehicles.
“The creation of two SUV classes is part of a broader fleet review we have undertaken in response to feedback from our customers, who increasingly are seeking a wider choice of vehicles, as well as the opportunity to minimise their fuel expenses,” said Chris Rusden, Hertz’s Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Australasia.
“In the case of SUVs, many customers want to rent smaller versions of the vehicles we are offering already. We have responded by sourcing two of the most popular small SUVs in the market, and we are now progressively adding these vehicles to our fleets around Australia,” he added.
Hertz operates more than 200 rental locations in Australia.
