In a bid to expand its presence across the UAE, Hertz recently opened a new car rental outlet in Ras Al Khaimah. The move is in line to capitalise on increasing number of tourists visiting the emirate.
With 1.2 million tourists visiting the region last year and an expected population growth of 4.7% by 2015, Ras Al Khaimah is an emerging tourist destination of UAE, according to Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
The new branch is inside Al Hamra Mall. Nigel Johnson, managing director of Hertz UAE, said: “This new branch is in line with the surge in tourism to the area, as well as renewed confidence in the UAE property market. We have experienced significant growth in business in 2013, and opening up a new location will ensure we can enhance our presence in 2014.”
With 70% of tourists coming from Germany, Russia and the UAE, Ras Al Khaimah is aiming to have 10,000 hotel rooms available by 2016 to accommodate growing number of holidaymakers.
