Hertz set for expansion in MEA region

Hertz has revealed plans to increase its investment in the Middle East and Africa region ahead of ATM 2011.Michel Taride, president of Hertz International and executive VP of Hertz Corporation, has joined the company’s ATM team this week to underline this message to its regional franchisees and travel trade professionals.”We are taking steps to ensure that the Hertz brand is in the best position for growth and strong performance in the Middle East and Africa in the years ahead,” said Taride.”We have a good deal of new business in the pipeline within the region, which is an increasingly important market for us. This is why we set up our first regional corporate office in Dubai last year as part of a three to five-year investment plan which is designed to deliver increased support to our regional franchises.”Hertz operates the largest network of car rental locations in the Middle East and Africa, with 34 franchisees providing a comprehensive range of car rental and leasing services from more than 227 outlets across the region.
