Hilton brings Conrad to the Philippines
Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement that will see the first Conrad hotel open in the Philippines.
The management deal, signed with SM Hotels & Conventions Corporation, will see the 350-room Conrad Manila launch at the 42-hectare SM Bay City development in Manila Bay.
“Manila is the primary gateway to the many islands and tourist destinations in the Philippines,” said Martin Rinck, Hilton’s President for Asia Pacific. “Today’s announcement illustrates our continued commitment to expand our footprint in the Philippines and is a significant milestone for us as it marks the entry of our luxury brand, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, into this dynamic city.”
Located on Seaside Boulevard, just 3km from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the new eight-storey hotel will be located next to the SM Mall of Asia – the fourth largest shopping mall in the world – and adjacent to the SMX Convention & Exhibition Center and a 16,000-seat stadium.
The property will incorporate two levels of retail and entertainment facilities on the ground floor, plus three restaurants, a bar and lobby lounge, fitness centre, swimming pool and spa. It will also house a 1,446m² ballroom, meeting rooms and a business centre.
