Hilton has opened its first DoubleTree hotel in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
The new 20-storey DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East is located in the Xiasha Economic & Technological Development Zone, and is connected to the city centre by the Hangzhou Metro.
The hotel offers 308 rooms, all with large work areas, internet access and 42-inch LCD TVs, while facilities include three restaurants, a 24-hour business centre, fitness centre and indoor swimming pool. There is also extensive meeting space, including a 1,050m² ballroom, eight function rooms, a VIP reception room and a boardroom.
“As the capital city of Zhejiang province, Hangzhou is not only enjoying rapid economic development, but also establishing itself as one of the top tourist destinations in China. We are confident that DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East will showcase our strength in supporting the Yangtze River Delta region’s development,” said Bruce McKenzie, Hilton’s senior vice president of operations for Greater China & Mongolia.
“This year marks Hilton Worldwide’s 25th anniversary in China and the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East is the latest welcome addition to our growing portfolio.”
DoubleTree by Hilton Hangzhou East becomes the brand’s 16th hotel in China.
