Hilton has celebrated the start of construction work on a new DoubleTree hotel in Perth.
Due for completion in early 2017, the new DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge will become the brand’s first opening in Western Australia. But Hilton is also planning to launch two further DoubleTrees in the state; DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront and DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Fremantle.
“Hilton Worldwide has a long-standing history of operation in the Australasia region, and we welcome the opportunity to grow our presence here with the addition of DoubleTree by Hilton Perth,” said Robert Scullin, Hilton’s vice president of development for Australasia.
“Locally in Australasia, DoubleTree by Hilton has opened and signed 10 hotels across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.”
Located in the Northbridge area of the city, just north of central Perth, the upscale DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge will offer 205 rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, 400m² of event space, a business centre, gym and outdoor pool.
The property is being developed by SKS Group, the Perth-based arm of Malaysia’s MB Group.
