A new Hilton hotel is to open at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl in 2014 as part of the stadium’s re-development.
The Hilton at the Ageas Bowl/Southampton property will cost GDP27 million and include 171 rooms and four suites over six floors with many overlooking the pitch.
It will be the chain’s second hotel in Southampton and follows other property openings at sports venues including Stadium MK, Wembley and the FA’s new centre St George’s Park.
“This upscale hotel will strengthen our brand’s ties with top sporting locations in the UK, and extend our offering for visitors to the South Coast of England,” said Dave Horton, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
