Hilton has signed an agreement to open its largest Hampton by Hilton hotel to date.
With 344 guest rooms and a prime city centre location, Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz is slated to open in early 2018.
The hotel is being developed under a franchise agreement with Interstar Hotel GmbH, which owns and operates a number of hotels across Germany.
The new hotel continues Hampton by Hilton’s growth in key urban locations across Europe, and joins more than 90 hotels trading or under development in the region.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe & Africa, Hilton Worldwide said: “We remain focused on expanding our economy and mid-market portfolio in key gateway cities across Europe, and 2014 saw Hilton Worldwide introduce substantial Hampton by Hilton properties in destinations including London, Warsaw and Istanbul, to name a few.
“This latest hotel will add substantially to our economy presence in central Berlin – a city which attracted 28.7 million overnight stays in 2014 alone, thanks to its fundamental appeal as a business and leisure destination.”
Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz will join three Hilton Worldwide properties currently trading in Berlin; Waldorf Astoria Berlin, Hilton Berlin, and Hampton by Hilton Berlin City West.
