Ground staff at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) have ruled out any further industrial action after striking a pay deal, ChannelNews Asia reported.
Staff representatives said the company had agreed to pay each full-time employee a bonus equivalent to 18 days’ pay, as well as a one-off additional payment of HK$1,000 (US$130) to all staff.
“Although we cannot say we are 100% happy about the company’s final decision, their offer is acceptable,” Ng Wai-yee, spokesperson for the 3,000 staff affected, was reported saying.
