InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced that the US$1 billion global Holiday Inn brand refresh programme is close to completion. Started in 2007, the project has seen more than 3,100 Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels with 430,000 rooms receive a makeover, including new logos and signage, new bedding, revamped bathrooms, and more business-focused facilities such as new work stations, data ports, high speed Internet access and Wi-Fi capabilities. IHG told Travel Daily that the Holiday Inn refresh programme is now 96% finished in Asia Pacific and 94% ready globally.
