The construction of Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park is well under way.
The project will be the Business Park’s first chain in Qatar, where the hotel management agreement was signed between Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Abdullah Jassim Al Thani (the owner) and InterContinental Hotels Group (the operator).
Alan Watts, COO of IHG for Asia & MEA was present at the ground breaking ceremony of this 320-key room hotel, together with client representative and executive manager of Trans Orient Hotels, Fathi Aburish. Also present in the ceremony were Pascal Gauvin, COO of IHG for India & MEA; Bander Harbi, VP for Operations – IHG Saudi Arabia, UAE & Qatar; Andreas Pfister, area general manager of IHG Qatar; and Savino Leone, general manager of Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park.
The Hotel is set to open in the second quarter of 2016. Some of the facilities include a ballroom, meeting rooms, three restaurants, fitness centre, swimming pool and spa.
