Hotels come together for UAE Green Festival

In line with its ongoing green initiatives, Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman and Tilal Liwa Hotel have announced its participation at the upcoming UAE Green Festival. The event takes place from 16 March to 16 April 2014.

During this period, Tilal Liwa Hotel will be recognized as ‘Green Stay’ with the team and their guests adopting various eco-friendly elements in facilities including Green Menus to Green Tours, Green Services, Green amenities and many more.

Led by general manager Iftikhar Hamdani, the Ramada Hotel will organise different activities during the festival including a demonstration of its innovative energy and resource saving practices. The property will also make a presentation of its current and planned green efforts. It will also offer planting activities to guests, arrange visits for guests to other UAE Green Festival events, and present tips and advice on how to help in the conservation of the environment.

The UAE Green Festival is a country-wide celebration specifically designed to educate people across the seven emirates about a sustainable way of life via green practices.

As part of the festival, Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman will be hosting the GCC Ecotourism Conference on 30-31 March. The conference will be attended by GCC government bodies, corporate stakeholders, and international associations, who will discuss challenges related to Ecotourism in the GCC. The other areas of discussion will be all components of hospitality and tourism sector.
