Travel agents can now book port-to-port journeys with Hurtigruten online. The new function makes it easier for agents to book a section of a Norwegian coastal journey as part of a wider, independent holiday. “We have now established a port-to-port pricing system that is easy to understand and very flexible which is just what agents need,” explained Kathryn Beadle, managing director of Hurtigruten UK. “With a ship leaving Bergen every day the options are endless – hop on in Bergen, travel up to the Lofoten islands, hop off for a few days and then hop on a voyage southbound back to Bergen. Or take the train from Oslo to Trondheim, jump on a ship and head to another popular town or city.”
