Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of two airport-based properties in Europe.
A Hyatt Place-branded hotel has been signed to open near London Heathrow in spring 2015, while another at Amsterdam Airport opened today.
The Heathrow property will be located in the town of Hayes close to Heathrow Airport and will have 170 rooms.
Facilities will include meeting space, an open food market, free WiFi and a fitness centre.
It will be the first Hyatt Place hotel in the UK and Hyatt Corporation’s fourth in the country in addition to the Andaz Liverpool Street, Hyatt Regency London-The Churchill and Hyatt Regency Birmingham.
Meanwhile in the Netherlands, the Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport opened today with 330 rooms in the Hoofddorp area.
The European announcements are part of a European growth strategy for the Hyatt Place brand, which recently opened a hotel in Armenia as well as Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and India.
“We have more than 180 Hyatt Place properties worldwide, but Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport marks new brand presence in a significant European city,” said Peter Fulton, group president – EAME/Southwest Asia, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “We plan to continue to grow the Hyatt Place brand thoughtfully in key markets around the world, which will allow us to provide more choices to new and loyal guests.”
