Hyatt has opened its first hotel in the central Chinese city of Chongqing.
The Hyatt Regency Chongqing is located in the city’s Jiangbei district and forms part of the Bei Cheng Tian Jie shopping area (known as ‘Paradise Walk’), which includes with retail, office space, dining and entertainment venues.
“The strategic move to bring the Hyatt Regency brand to the metropolis of Chongqing is another milestone in Hyatt’s development in China,” said Larry Tchou, Managing Director of Hyatt Asia Pacific. “We are very pleased to introduce and deliver our authentic hospitality to this bustling market, and look forward to welcoming guests from Chongqing, China, and all over the world in the coming months and years.”
Hyatt Regency Chongqing features 321 rooms, including the Chairman and Presidential suites. F&B facilities include the two restaurants – one international outlet and a Chinese restaurant featuring nine private dining rooms – as well as a tea lounge, bar and French patisserie.
Other hotel facilities include the Heng Spa with 10 treatment rooms, a fitness centre, 25-metre indoor pool and 1,870m² of meeting space, including a 780m² pillarless ballroom.
