Bangkok-based real estate firm Pioneer Property Company Limited (PPC), has signed a deal with Hyatt Hotels to bring the Hyatt Place brand to Southeast Asia.
The new Hyatt Place Bangkok, Sukhumvit is scheduled to open in 2017 on Soi 24, with close proximity to the Emporium shopping mall and easy access to the city’s business, entertainment and dining precincts.
The hotel will offer 220 guest rooms and seven studio suites, featuring a Cozy Corner sectional sofa-sleeper, separate workspace, the Hyatt Grand Bed, 42” flat-panel HDTV, and the Hyatt Plug Panel media center. Other facilities will include a sky pool, fitness center, a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar, and dedicated meeting facilities.
“As an upscale select service hotel, Hyatt Place Bangkok, Sukhumvit will allow us to appeal to the growing number of domestic and international travellers to Bangkok,” said Pravina Srisakulchawla of Pioneer Property Company Limited.
“While some visitors come for a holiday, many travel for business and often choose to extend their stay. We wish to appeal to both these groups, and this development confirms our position to do so.”
On opening, the property will join Hyatt’s rapidly expanding Bangkok portfolio. There are currently two Hyatt-branded hotels in Thailand – Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin – and two more on the way. The company recently introduced the Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit opening 2017, and Park Hyatt Bangkok opening in 2014.
