IDeaS Revenue Solutions has launched the first ever hotel revenue management mobile app.
Created as part of the company’s cloud-based revenue management solution, the new IDeaS Mobile RMS extends the company’s software to phones and tablets, allowing hoteliers to view and update hotel pricing information while on the move.
The app is expected to be especially useful for cluster or regional revenue managers who might have to manage multiple properties across a range of different locations and time zones.
“The enhancements to our revenue management solutions will help hoteliers make smarter decisions and drive even greater bottom-line results,” said Sanjay Nagalia, chief operating officer for IDeaS.
“We live in a mobile world, and have seen incredible customer demand to stay connected to our solutions in and out of the office. For instance, our new IDeaS Mobile RMS allows users to view valuable KPIs, receive alerts, and manage and deploy pricing decisions anytime, anywhere.”
The IDeaS Mobile RMS is compatible with Android and Apple devices, and allows revenue managers to view monthly, weekly or daily snapshots of key performance metrics including occupancy, average daily rates (ADR) and revenue per available room (revPAR), on their mobiles.
The app also allows users to access competitive rate comparisons, review operational forecasts and override best available rate (BAR) when necessary.
“Revenue management is not a nine-to-five discipline,” Nagalia added. “Having the right tools to identify and capitalise on revenue opportunities, without restrictions on technology, will give IDeaS clients an edge against their competition.”
In addition to the mobile app, IDeaS’ new revenue management suite includes a re-designed dashboard for desktop users, a new business summary tool that compares occupancy and revenue forecasts to budgets, plus a colour-coded calendar system. There is also a new group pricing tool, including the ability to set minimum acceptable rates and work out all group costs.
