Imperial Queen’s Park welcomes Jakarta connection
Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, Bangkok welcomed the aircrew of Garuda Indonesia on the inauguration of the airline’s third daily flight into Bangkok.
Operated with a with Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 162 seats in two classes, the new GA864 flight leaves Jakarta at 1620 to arrive in Bangkok at 2010, while the return GA865 flight leaves Bangkok at 0635, arriving in Jakarta at 1010.
The airline has signed a deal with the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel to host its crew members as they overnight in the Thai capital before departing early on the return trip home.
I Wayan Subagia, Garuda’s General Manager for Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam said; “We are very happy to work with such a partner at the commencement of our business expansion plans into Thailand and we look forward to developing future opportunities as well”
Bilateral tourism between the two ASEAN leaders is growing every year, creating business opportunities for many travel industry players.
According to the data from Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, arrivals from Thailand are set to reach 105,900 this year and are projected to increase to 120,000 next year. Meanwhile, the number of Indonesian arrivals to Thailand is expected to reach 265,200 this year and is likely to grow to 286,000 in 2013.
