This month, the Indian government will host a new event aimed at attracting foreign investment into its tourism sector.
The inaugural ‘Incredible India Tourism Investment Summit’ is being held in New Delhi from 21-23 September 2016. It will be organised by the Indian Ministry of Tourism in association with the Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The platform is designed for domestic and international investors to meet with project owners from across India in a series of pre-arranged face-to-face sessions, as well as providing information about the government’s tourism development initiatives and incentives.
Panel discussions will be held discussing areas such as India’s tourism infrastructure, start-ups, digital innovation, MICE and other niche tourism sectors.
Participants will gather from 27 Indian states, showcasing approximately 600 investable projects across a variety of sectors of the industry. An estimated 140 investors are expected to attend.
