The India Aviation 2008 opens in Hyderabad today, Anil Mathur reports. Running until 18 October, the event follows September’s PATA Travel Mart as the second major travel industry event to come to the capital of Andhra Pradesh in as many months.
With its thrust on the civil aviation sector, a highlight of the show will be the presence of the Airbus A380, which will be on static display. Several major aviation companies and suppliers from across the globe are expected, reflecting India’s growing importance in the aviation world. On 16 October over 20 countries will participate part in the discussions on civil aviation issues, with ministers and industry experts exchanging views.
