A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight suffered a bird-hit immediately after take-off from Agartala airport yesterday.
The aircraft had just taken off when a large bird, possibly a falcon or an eagle, was sucked into the engine, prompting the pilot to immediately fly back to the tarmac, the airline sources were quoted by DNA India. All the 177 passengers and six crew members on board were safe, the sources added. The Director of Airport Authority of India (AAI), SD Burman said there was a problem in the flight caused by birds.
