IndiGo to launch maiden international flight

IndiGo will launch its maiden international flight on Delhi-Dubai-Delhi sector on 1 September 2011. This flight will mark the airline’s foray into the international arena after completing five years of domestic flying. The first flight, 6E-021 will fly out from New Delhi to Dubai, carrying about 170 passengers on-board.To celebrate the beginning of international operations, IndiGo will present its passengers with “The World’s Smallest Certificate”, welcoming them on-board.
IndiGo will operate daily-direct flight services between Dubai-Delhi and Delhi-Dubai at an affordable return fare of US$ 216 (INR 9999).The airline will also commence Mumbai-Dubai operations effective 2 October 2011. Flights from Delhi would operate to and from Terminal 3 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport thereby offering smooth, faster and hassle free airport experience for travelers.
Commenting on the launch Aditya Ghosh, President of IndiGo said, “We are indeed very excited about our new journey as a part of our expansion program.
