Indonesia cancels train ticket price hike

Indonesia’s Transportation Ministry has decided not to go ahead with a proposed 62% hike in the price of economy class train tickets. The Jakarta Post reported a Ministry spokesperson as saying that the move was cancelled following “an order from the State Palace”. The new ticket prices were scheduled to take effect in March.
